DMA - Who We Are
John Black commenced  in 1998 after an extensive career in the Driver Training Field. John's previous experience has included positions as a Military Instructor at the Army School of Transport, a Civilian Instructor with the Queensland Police Driver Training Wing, part-time employment as an Instructor with Gregg Hansford Defensive Motoring Australia and the position of Operations Manager/Principal Instructor for Defensive Motoring Australia.
John has personally selected instructors at the very peak of the field of Driver Training to form a comprehensive 'Instructional Team' catering for the many and varied facets of the Driver Training environment.
has gone from strength to strength, providing driver training to major corporate clientele throughout Australia while still passionately providing driver training to the general public.
Instructor Profiles
John Black
Managing Director/Principal Instructor
In 1979, John enlisted in the Australian Army (Transport Corp) where he performed all duties as a driver in the Army.
In 1983, John was selected to join Project Perentie, which evaluated and produced detailed reports of the then proposed vehicles for the Army.
In 1987, John was posted to the Army School of Transport at Puckapunyal where he performed instruction on all aspects of driver training as it related to the Army.
In 1991, John was permanently attached to the Police Driver Training Wing at the Mt. Cotton Driver Training Centre where he performed instruction on all aspects of driver training as it related to the Police Service.
In 1991, in addition to his normal duties he commenced part-time employment with Defensive Motoring Australia (formerly Gregg Hansford Defensive Motoring). In 1996, John joined Defensive Motoring Australia full-time as Operations Manager/Principal Instructor.
In February 1998 John commenced and is Managing Director and Principal Instructor.
John has performed instruction in areas of defensive driving for motorcycles, cars, 4 wheel drives, rigid trucks and semi-trailers. John has also been sub-contracted to provide training for the Queensland Ambulance Service and Queensland Fire Service.
Neale Stoneley: Senior Instructor
Neale has been involved in the driver-training field since 1989. Neale has been part of the DMA Instructional Team since it began in 1998. Neale performs instruction in areas of defensive driving for cars, 4 wheel drives and rigid trucks.
Paul Ziebarth: Senior Instructor
Paul has been involved in the driver-training field since 1994. Paul has been part of the DMA Instructional Team since it began in 1998. Paul performs instruction in areas of defensive driving for cars, 4 wheel drives and rigid trucks.

John has been involved in the driver-training field since 1994. John has been part of the DMA Instructional Team since it began in 1998. John performs instruction in areas of defensive driving for cars.
Tony Hart: Senior Instructor
Tony has been involved in the driver-training field since 1984. Tony has been part of the DMA Instructional Team since it began in 1998. Tony performs instruction in areas of defensive driving for cars.
Leigh Fracchia: Instructor
Leigh has been involved in the driver-training field since 1995. Leigh has been part of the DMA Instructional Team since it began in 1998. Leigh performs instruction in areas of defensive driving for cars. Leigh has been involved in the driver-training field since 1995.
Dave Needham: Instructor
Dave has had many years experience in driving training field and has been with DMA since it began in 1998. He provides training in defensive driving for cars.
Ty Gilbert: Instructor
Ty has been involved in the driver-training field since 1995. Ty has been part of the DMA Instructional Team since 2003. Ty performs instruction in areas of defensive driving for cars.
